Here’s the formula for travel content: Follow a YouTuber around with a camera. Boring!

Our challenge was to create a travel series to get Singaporeans to explore their own country during COVID-19. But what type of travel content could inspire them to rediscover a place they know so well? Well, we looked to what Singaporeans were addicted to: drama series.

We created a 10-episode spy drama series that blended Netflix-style drama with travel content. We called it S.P.I.E.S., or “Secret Places in Exciting Singapore", complete with celebrity hosts, bad guys, mysterious characters, cryptic puzzles and cliffhangers!

After 4 episodes, it was picked up by meWatch, the video-on-demand service from MediaCorp. You can watch all episodes on the YouTube playlist
